Day 1

Day 1

Arrival in Athens. Transfer from Athens airport to hotel in the city center of Athens. Dinner in restaurant in Plaka, overnight in hotel in Athens.
Day 2

Day 2

City Tour Athens. After breakfast, we will see the Greek Parliament, the monument Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the National Park, Zappeio, Hadrian’s Gate, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Panathenaic Stadium of Athens, known as Kallimarmaro Stadium, where the first Olympic Games were held, the Presidential Residence, the Numismatic Museum, the Catholic Archdiocese of Athens, the Academy of Arts and the National Library. We will visit the temples and the theater of Herodes Atticus at the Acropolis. Optional visit to the Acropolis Museum. In the afternoon free time to walk around Plaka, the old historical neighborhood of Athens with the neoclassical architecture, the alleys, the flowers, the pergolas and taverns. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Athens.
Day 3

Day 3

Visit to Ancient Epidaurus, Nafplio, Mykynes and Kalavrita. We will visit the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, built in 4th c. B.C, with capacity of 15,000 spectators and excellent acoustics. We will continue to Nafplio, the first capital of Greece after the liberation of Greece in 1821, with the Venetian fortfications and Burtzi castle, visit Mykynes with the impressive Lion’s Gate, the great center of the ancient civilization during the kingship of Agamemnonas, and finally arrive in Kalavryta and settle in our hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Kalavryta.
Day 4

Day 4

Visit to the Cave of the Lakes, Diakofto, Preveza. After breakfast, we will have a guided tour in the cave of the Lakes, near the village Kastria, at an altitude of 827 meters.It’s the numerous cascading three different levels of lakes, which make it unique in the world. Early in the afternoon we board the “Odontotos” rack railway,that started about 120 years ago climbing to Kalavrita through bridges and tunnels. Since then the Vouraikos River and Odontotos continue together. After arriving to Diakofto, we will continue our trip to Preveza, crossing the bridge of Rio-Antirrio, in a length of 2.880 meters, the longest cable bridge in Europe with four lanes, an emergency lane and the lane for pedestrians. We arrive in Preveza, settle in our hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Preveza.
Day 5

Day 5

Full day excursion in Lefkada-Kefalonia-Ithaki. After breakfast, we depart for Nydri and we start our cruise to the islands of Lefkada, Kefallonia and Ithaki. Late in the afternoon we return to Nydri. Transfer to our hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Preveza.The routes we will follow: 1.PORTO KATSIKI (LEFKADA) We will visit the most beautiful sandy beach of the Ionian Sea, the breathtaking Porto Katsiki. 2.FISKARDO (KEFALLONIA) The biggest of the Ionian islands with diversities in the landscape that enchant the visitor. The village of Fiskardo, the only village that remained untouched by the great earthquake of 1953, is a historical place with cosmopolitan character. Lunch in a traditional tavern. 3.ITHAKI The homeland of the homeric hero Odysseus. The cozy and romantic Ithaki is an ideal place for a peaceful holiday,blending harmoniously mountain and sea with beautiful coves and charming beaches. 4.CAVE PAPANIKOLI (MEGANISI)Visit the cave Papanikoli in Meganisi, where the captain of the legendary submarine Papanikolis, Captain Iatridis, used as a hideout in 1940,during the World War II. 5. SKORPIOS-SPARTI-KASTRI (the 3 Onassis islands ). Cruise around the islands and stop for swimming.
Day 6 & 7

Arrival in Parga the cosmopolitan holiday resort of the Ionian. Parga is the most popular seaside resort of the Ionian Sea. Full day free to enjoy the sea and the beach of Parga. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Parga.
Day 8

Day 8

Metsovo and Meteora Land. After breakfast we start our tour to Meteora with stops to Ioannina and Metsovo, a small beautiful city with traditional architecture that combines wood and stone and is known for the delicious local specialties. In Metsovo the inhabitants experience tradition, truth and values. The tradition is not an object of museum use and folkloric study, but the identity and life itself. Lunch in a traditional restaurant and departure to Kalambaka. A walk on the rocks of Meteora, at the highest point to enjoy the sunset. We settle in our hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Kalambaka.
Day 9, 10 & 11

Discovering the land of Thessaly, Meteora, Volos, Pelion. After breakfast, guide tour in one or two monasteries in Meteora. We continue our trip to Pelion, make stops to Volos or Portaria for a coffee and admire the unique landscape and the view of the Pagasetic Gulf. Late in the afternoon we arrive at Agios Ioannis and settle in our hotel. Dinner and overnight at Boutique Kentrikon Hotel. Rest of the days free to enjoy the sea and plenty of activities to do.
Day 12 & 13

Departure for Skopelos. We will take the ferry to Skopelos, the island where the shootings of the movie Mamma Mia took place. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Skopelos.
Day 14

Day 14

Departure from Skopelos and arrival in Delphi. After breakfast, we take the ferry to Volos and transfer to Delphi, known as “the navel of the earth”, at the foothills of Mount Parnassus, with the panhellenic sanctuary of Delphi and most famous oracle of ancient Greece. Arrival and settlement in our hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Delphi.
Day 15

Day 15

Tour in Delphi and departure for Athens. After breakfast we will have a guide tour in the archaeological sites of Delphi such as the temple of Apollo, the Krystalia sacred source of Delphi and the Museum. Lunch in a tavern and departure for Athens. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Athens.
Day 16

Day 16

Departure for the airport. After breakfast we depart for the airport of Athens. Note: Possibility of extending the program to the islands of the Cyclades (Santorini-Mykonos) or stay in Athens.
