Get to know Pelion
Pelion is the mountain of the Centaurs: a green peninsula between the Pagasetic Gulf and the Aegean that rises right behind Volos. In less than an hour you can drive from a seaside café to a stone village in the beech forest – sea and mountain in one holiday, in every season.
Portaria, Makrinitsa, Hania: stone villages at 600–1,200 m, cool even in August, with cobbled paths, plane-tree squares and the Agriolefkes ski centre in winter.
Zagora, Tsagarada, Agios Ioannis: chestnut and beech forests that drop straight to wild beaches with crystal water – Mylopotamos, Damouchari, Papa Nero.
Kala Nera, Afissos, Milies: the warm, calm water of the Pagasetic Gulf, family beaches, sea kayaking and the historic little train to Milies.
Argalasti, Milina, Platanias: olive groves, fishing villages and hidden coves – quieter, authentic, and the gateway to Skiathos and the Sporades.

Why Pelion?
Twenty-four traditional villages, beaches such as Mylopotamos, Fakistra and Papa Nero, mountain trails through chestnut and beech forests, and a cuisine of its own. Summer by the sea, winter in the snow – Pelion is beautiful all year round.
